Schools
Many schools and universities have already taken advantage of solar purchase power agreements (PPA). Until 2016 there is a federal tax credit available for solar projects that a public school can only take advantage of with a PPA. Photogenesis will inspect your campus for the best solar location(s). Solar Farms
In some areas of the country utilities have agreed to buy the power back from renewable energy systems. These are typically called feed-in-tariffs. Photogenesis will apply for the program and when you get selected you will receive lucrative land lease payments. Photogenesis takes care of installing, operating, maintaining and — most important — paying for your solar system. Your only work is cashing the check.
Governments and Municipalities
Until 2016 there is a federal tax credit available for solar projects that government entities can only take advantage of with a PPA. Local government and municipalities can reduce operating costs by installing solar and greatly reduce their electric bills. Some government bodies also have renewable mandates. The easiest way to meet this mandate is through a solar purchase power agreement and spending zero on your renewables.
Off Grid
There are many areas in which we would like to have power and lights, but there are no utilities available. Paying for a power line to the site may or may not be an option. An off grid solar option can be the answer. A solar power purchase agreement for an off grid system is not an easy thing to find. Photogenesis has an option for such a scenario. Each off grid system is very unique but the simple part is you pay a set price per kWh for only what the system produces.
